The ITS World Congress Webinar Series Launched

In March this year, ERTICO- ITS Europe will launch a webinar series to turn the spotlight on the 2024 ITS World Congress, which will take place in Dubai on 16-20 September under the theme of  ‘Mobility Driven by ITS’. The webinars will focus on this year’s Congress topics: Urban Mobility, Clean Mobility, Automated Mobility, and Innovation in Mobility & Logistics.

The series will offer audiences a glimpse into the diverse and intriguing topics showcased at the Congress, featuring panel discussions, technical presentations, exhibitions, and more. The ITS Community will also have the chance to interact with some of the influential innovators who will be bringing their ideas and solutions to the Congress in Dubai.

The first webinar will take place on Wednesday 27 March, 14:00-15:00 CET on the topic of Decarbonising Urban Mobility.

In 2023, 54.8% of the world’s population was reported to live in urban environments. Road transport in these areas is responsible for a big part of the total greenhouse gas emissions.  With urban dwellers expected to account for two-thirds of the worldwide population by 2050, there is an urgent need to double down on efforts towards making urban mobility more sustainable.

The webinar will bring together representatives from the main pillars of urban mobility: public transport, urban logistics, active (soft) mobility, electric mobility, etc. along with policymakers and public authorities driving implementation – e.g. via Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs). Panellists will discuss some of the ongoing drives across the various sectors in their parts of the world to decarbonise mobility.

Join us, to take part in this interesting discussion and hear about what awaits you at the 30th ITS World Congress in Dubai! Register for the first webinar below. Don’t miss out on this insightful agenda!
