The ITS European Congress is honoured to have Carlos Moedas, Mayor of Lisbon to deliver the welcome speech at the opening ceremony of the Congress. Moreover, Filipe Anacoreta Correia, Vice Mayor of Lisbon, will be speaking at the ITS Summit and Press Conference, and Dr. Jorge Moreno Delgado, Secretary of State for Urban Mobility, will address all the attendees at the opening ceremony.
“As a former European Commissioner, and as a Mayor, mobility is everything and everywhere and this is why Lisbon has put 40% of its budget on mobility in climate change. ERTICO is the ultimate example of how different sectors collaborate to bridge the gap between science and the deployment of mobility services that can truly make a difference in people’s lives,” says Carlos Moedas, Mayor of Lisbon.
The ITS European Congress takes pride in bringing all stakeholders from the mobility and intelligent transport sector under one roof and it is no different in Lisbon. Our local event partners Brisa, Infraestruturas de Portugal and Ascendi, are supporting the three-day Congress and demonstrating their commitment to smart mobility initiatives. Moreover, some of the renowned Portuguese entities such as Portugal’s Institute for Mobility and Transport and EMEL (Empresa Municipal de Mobilidade e Estacionamento de Lisboa) will be showcasing their latest smart mobility efforts at the Congress.
